All of this at the age of 27. Megan's reasons for returning to college even after gaining such huge success as a musician were deeply personal. In an article for People Magazine, she explained, "My grandmother that’s still alive used to be a teacher, so she’s on my butt about finishing school. I’m doing it for me, but I’m also doing it for the women in my family who made me who I am today.” Megan also spoke on finishing school for her late mother and grandmother who passed away in 2019.

Megan got a degree in Health Administration with philanthropic goals. "I'm gonna open an assisted-living facility and use the money that I make from rapping to open it." She states in People Magazine. "Then I'm gonna let my classmates run it."

Not only this, but when she got her diploma, it created a "Megan Effect", causing a spike in admissions for Texas Southern University, proving her as an inspiring force to so many young people.

Megan continues to use her status to stay true to who she is, and to send her blessings out to as many people as possible.
